It all started late in 2000 when Rob Bianchetti and Justin Astbury decided to put their years of experience together and form “SystemBot” (production outfit & live act). Today SystemBot is one of the most respected live and production acts to come out of the Adelaide dance scene. Cementing that in 2007 when they picked up the ‘Most Popular Producer’ Award at the SA Dance music Awards. The guys were also involved in the ‘Most Popular local Release” award, for their part in the track ‘Broken N Twisted’ (which they were OVER THE MOON about!). 2007 also brought a few other awards for SystemBot, picking up a couple Finalist at the Adelaide Art Directors Awards for their work on ‘Palmers Body Butter- Skin Is Fashion” TVC & “Mitsubishi Motors- Scratch” TVC. And in 2006 the boys were named as one of the winners of the BK ‘Systematic’ remix comp and their remix released on ‘Riot London’. “What an honour to have the best hard dance producer in the world pick our track as one of the winners”-Justin. “His track ‘Systematic’ went on to win “Track Of The Year” @ the Hard Dance Awards in London, not bad to be on that package!”-Rob.

But, the highlight of the last couple of years tho would have to be playing @ the Adelaide ‘2007 Big Day Out’! “It was mad, 15mins into the set and we had 2500 people going nuts!”-Rob. “It was hot, packed and a lot of fun!”-Justin
2007 also saw a lot of remix work for the boys for acts like, 33 ‘All I Want’ & Emaar ‘Stay’. Their remix of ‘Stay’ can also be found on the Gods Kitchen ‘Summer Rush’ CD out now thru Central Station, nice way to finish off the year!

To follow that up with a great start to the year (2008) they were signed to ‘Monster Tunes uk’!!! Which is MASSIVE news for SystemBot. Monster Tunes have brought you top artists like ‘AirWave’, Alex Morph, Brisky, Kuffdam & Plant, Nu NRG, Ronski Speed, Stoneface & Terminal & Thomas Datt just to name a few.

Playing at most of the big parties in Adelaide & together with there more intermit club gigs they have come into a class of there own. SystemBot has supported acts like ‘Paul Van Dyke’, ‘TyDi’, ‘Scooter’, 'John Askew', 'Darude', 'Paul Glazby', ‘Archie’, 'Dave Clark', 'Grooverider', 'Tidy Boys', 'Pendulum', ‘Nik Fish’, 'Sonic Animation', 'Kid Kenobi & Mc SureShock', 'Pee Wee Ferris', 'Bexta', 'Paul Holden'& 'Ajax' just to name a few.
SystemBot have also played ‘GAS’-Sydney, ‘Bass Station’-Melbourne, Rome (on the beach!!) & Cambodia.

If asked to describe the SystemBot sound you would have to say…… TRANCE! Everything from Up lifting, melodic, vocal, thru to Tech. But in saying that the boys regularly get there hands dirty with Techno, House, Electro, Drum & Bass, Breaks…

Then there is the movie project “Wolf Creek” for which they were asked to create three totally different tracks for the party scene. They were then asked to create a single with film clip to canonise with the release of the movie around the world. This has been a real privilege and turning point for the guys allowing them to explore other musical genres and let me tell you that’s what they have done. The track “Broken 'N' Twisted” (VillageRoadShow) is a collaboration of SystemBot, local producer Templar Monk (Justin Pounsett) and the amazing Kaye Tuckerman (Matrix, boy from oz…). With the male vocals being taken care of by B-Bop Mc (Benton Astbury).
The result surpassed even the groups’ expectations. The film clip was an amazing bonus to both Auxillary One and the music track, adding more emotion to further develop the feel and mood of the music. Skyver & D-Jon were asked to do a Drum & Bass remix for Auxillary One and man did they deliver! The result was picked up by Simon Bass line smiths label “Technique Recordings” & was one of the biggest Drum & Bass Tracks of 2006!
